1974 - Blockade on highway Hamburg Berlin As a pressure against the Bundestag meeting in Berlin, East German Police has blocked the roads from West Germany to Berlin. A the control point Lauenburg on the road Hamburg Berlin trucks are lined up for miles and private vehicles are blocked in endless convoys. Red Cross and other organizations have set up aid service for drivers and people waiting for the release of the blockade. The Red Cross is serving tea and food and giving other help to tired drivers.
