Dec. 12, 1973 - A late tribute to Konrad Adenauer in Berlin: A column in the breakers As amemorial for late Konrad Adenauer this monument shown here in a small scale model was awarded first prize in a competition held in Berlin recently. The symbolic monument was designed by Berlin scultpors Mr. and Mrs. Maraschino-Denninghoff. Actually it is constructed as a fountain, cast in metal, whost surface will receive tender golden finish. During summertime water provided by an artificial well will drizzle over its surface. It is planned to inaugurate the memorial fountain on May 25th, 1974 which is the date of the 25th anniversary when West-Germany's Federal Statutes have become effective. The site of the fountain Will be Adenauer Square situated at Berlin's Kurfurstendam and he corner of Wilmers-dorferstrasse which were widened remodelling
