May 05, 1975 - May 21st: Start of trial against leading members of Baader/Meinhof group in Stuttgart: On May 21st 1975, the proceedings against four leading members of the Baader/Mainhof group will start in Stuttgart. About 500 witnesses and expert witnesses will be heard during this trial which will take between 6 and 18 months. The defendants, Ulrike Meinhof (journalist, 400, Andreas Baader (31), Gudrun Ensslin (teacher, 31) and Jan-Carl Raspe (sociologist, 30) are accused of having hilled 4 persons and the attemped killing of 54 persins by several bomb attempts throughout West-Germany, several bank robberies and the formation of a criminal association.
