Feb. 02, 1980 - MUNISCH/WEST GERMANY, TRIAL AGAINST SPD-MEMBER FRIENDRICH CREMER OPENED On February 12th, 1980 in Munich/West Germany the trial against Dr. Friedrich Cremer, SPD-member of the Bavarian State Parliment since 1966, Mayor of the Lower Franconia village Lengfurt since nearly 20 years, and a physician too, was opened. He is accused to have been engaged in espionage in favour to the German Democratic Republic. Cremer, so is said, has had contacts to East since 1957 and in the time till his unmasking a lot of meeting with agents of the GDR, by which secret party-internals were blabbed out. Dr. med, Friedrich Cremer admite such contacts to East, but rejects to be a spy. Many were surprised to see, that SPD-man Cremer presented as one of his counsels for the defence Hermann Hocherl member of CSU-party and former Minsiter of the Interrior in teh West German Goverment in the picture tright Friendrich cremer
