Oct. 04, 1977 - 30th Day Of Death Of Max Planck 30 years ago: on October 4th, 1947, died in Goettingen (FRG) Max Planck (Max Planck - our picture), who went down in history because of his pioneering works in the field of physics. Max Planck, born in Kiel (FRG) in 1858, acted as professor in his home-town Kiel and in Berlin and from 1930 to 1937 he was president of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Society for promotion of science (today Max-Planck-Society). The first works of Planck dealed with the use of thermo-dynamics on proceedings in gases, liquids and solutions. Than he devoted himself to the analysis of the proceedings of radiation (law of radiation of Planck); Max Planck is the founder of the quantum theory. In 1981 was awarded to him the Nobel Prize for Physics
