Dec. 12, 1978 - Willy Brandt becomes 65: Willy Brandt is born at December 18th, 1913 in Luebeck/West-Germany. After making his immatriculation he studied history in Oslo, then followed from 1933-1947 political an journalistic work at Sveden. 1949 Brandt became a member of the German Bundestag. 1958-1962 he was the chairman of the SPD (Social Democratic Party of West Germanay) of Berlin, since 1958 he is in the Federal directorate of the SPD, since 1964 he is the chairman of it. From 1957 until 1966 Will Brandt was the governing mayor of Berlin, December 1966 until October 1969 Vice-Chancellor and Federal Foreign Minister. From October 1969 until May 1974 he was the Federal Chancellor of West-Germany. In the year 1971 Willy Brandt got the Nobel-Prize of Peace for his peace-policy with the eastern foreign countries, since a lot of years he is the chairman of the Socialistic International. Willy Brandt wrote some most regarded works over the foreign-policy, peace-policy, in Europ and over the policy in West-Germany
