Dec. 21 Former Chief Of West-German Secret Service Was Heard By The Committee Of Inquiry Of The Lower House:- Retired general Reinhard Gehlen (ReinHard Gehlen- picture), former chief of the West German secret service (Bundesnachrichtendienst), recently was heard by the committee of inquiry of the Lower House, which examines the case of the East-German spy Gunter Guillaume, as well as illegal activities of the secret service in West-Germany. General Gehlen was questioned in the latter case, and asked whether he knew of any destroying of records, which had illegally been made of prominent West-German politicians, journalists and publishers. The committee, which normally meet in Bonn, had extra come to Munich, since the 72 years old general, who lives near Munich, is ill and could not travel to Bonn
