Nov. 11, 1977 - Anger as SS Chief Freed: Former SS Colonel Hubert Meyer, banned from Britain by the Home Secretary Mr Merlyn Rees, was given nearly a days grace today. Police at Heathrow Airport released him and he was driven to a London Press Conference by his book Publisher. The Home office have made it clear that Col. Meyer must be out of the country by midnight tonight. Meyers book is about the SS during the War. Picture Shows: Colonel Hubert Mayer seen at the Press Conference today
