Aug. 14, 1959 - The system for the forging has been discovered: Reporter on Aug, 11th 1959 discovered the code by which in the Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen the forded pound-notes were made. The Bank of England is now able to find all pound-notes still circulating. The code was to find beneath the files, printing boxes etc. by reporters of the magazin Der Stern on the ground of the Toplitzsee, over 80 metres beneath the surface. The forged money had been made in the Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen, and with it the stability of the English currency was to be shaken in order to turn, in the last minute, the fortune for the favour of Germany. Our pictures show (above): special passports of the Security Office of the Reich, given to deputies as well as agents, spies etc. The owners of such passports could not be prosecuted. below: Chests containing forged money and confidential files of the 3rd Reich, brought to the surface of the Toplitzsee, a lake in Australia
