 : Gold Mining In Cambodia

Gold Mining In Cambodia

Cambodia - A small girl pounds away at the gold-bearing rock which her parents brought back to the village. Everybody, even the children search for gold in Cambodia in spite of the see-saw political situation. In the forest villages, such as Phnom Luong, nearly every man woman and child helps in the constant quest for the rich mineral. The people in the gold areas set out from their villages and stake a claim. They dig and wash and if they find a nugget or some gold dust it is carefully handled and taken to a Chinese dealer who weighs it and pays. Exact date and place unknown
