Gosta Bohman, Conservative leader in Swedish elections
Sep. 09, 1973 - TIE IN SWEDISH ELECTION: An unusual situation developed after the Elections in Sweden on Sunday, when after the final preliminary counting of votes the representation in Parliament would be 175 MPs for the Socialist parties and 175 for the non-Socialist parties. It now seems there are two possibilities - either a new election will be arranged or some kind of coalition government will be appointed. Neither of the two possibilities can be realised until the new Parliament has assembled in the middle of January next year.
