Granny Gets the Point, film preview, decimalisation

Aug. 18, 1970 - Decimal Currency Board film Preview. There was a preview today of the Decimal Currency Board's new film Granny gets the point, at the national film theatre. Doris Hare and 13-year old schoolboy Christopher Ellis, who appear in the film, were at the preview. The 25-minute colour film shows the reactions of a typical family to the changeover to decimal currency. Photo shows 13-year old Christopher Ellis holding a selection of decimal coins between his fingers - whilst Doris Hare looks on - at today's preview
