Adams, a West indian of African Descent, has become the first Prime Minister Of Barbados.Leader of the local Labour party which currently commands a majority in the House of Assembly, he is Queen's Council-a lawyer-and a graduate of Oxford University, England. In 1948 he was a member of the British delegation to the United Nations Assembly in Paris
