Greek students protest by bricking up entrance to college

Apr. 16, 1964 - Greek Students Brick Up Their Door. For the past two years, students at the Assistant Engineers College in Athens have been carrying out a campaign to have their college status raised to a higher level. Their campaign has included boycotting of lessons, 500 km marches, hunger strikes and demonstrations in front of the Government Palace. The latest move they have adopted is to brick up the entrances to their college, to prevent anyone from entering, an action which the police are unable to interfere with.
