Aug. 08, 1958 - Greta Andersen Wins the International Swimming race in less than eleven Hours Greta Anderson the thirty year old American swimmer-stepped ashore at Dover this afternoon at 1-4 PM-Ten hours fifty nine minutes after entering the water at Cap Gris Nez-to win the International Cross Channel Swimming race-organized by Billy Butlin the King of the Holiday Camps. Great Anderson is greased by her husband P.T. Instructor John Sonnichsen before she entered the water for her great swim this morning
