Aug. 23, 1958 - Dover, England, U.K - The thirty year old Danish swimmer, GRETA ANDERSEN, born May 1, 1927, stepped ashore at Dover this afternoon at 1-4pm. Ten hours fifty nine minutes after entering the water at Cap Gris Nez, to win the International Cross Channel Swimming race, organized by Billy Butllin the King of the Holiday Camps. The picture shows Greta being grreased by her husband P.T. Instructor JOHN SONNICHSEN before she entered the water for her great swim this morning
