Greville Wynne, businessman, arrested as spy by Russians

Nov. 11, 1962 - BRITON SEIZED BY HUNGARIAN SECRET POLICE AS ALLEGED SPY IS HANDED OVER TO RUSSIANS. British business man, GREVILLE WYNNE, 42, who was seized by Hungarian secret police a fortnight ago as an alleged spy, has been handed over to the Russians. In London, Lord Home, the Foreign Secretary, called the Soviet Ambassador and the Hungarian Minister to the Foreign Office and made the strongest possible protest to their Governments. MR. WYNNE, is the managing-director of Mobile exhibitions Ltd, and has travelled extensively in the Iron Curtain countries with a trade exhibition van. His wife collapsed when told of the news last night at her home in Upper Cheyne-Row, Chelsea. PHOTO SHOWS MR GREVILLE WYNNE, the British businessman who is now in the hands of the Russians
