Gunter Schweimer, Chairman of NPD, Germany
Feb. 02, 1967 - Gunter Schweimer, 54 years old, is since 1st January, 1965 chairman of the NPD (National Party of Germany). In 1925 Schweimer joined the Hitler Youth, 1931 he became a member of the NSDAP; 1932 he joined the SS. In 1933 he belonged to the Body Guard of Adolf Hitler. 1938 Schweimer became aide-de-camp of the Reich's-Foreign-Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop. One year later he was SS- Hauptsturm - leader. 1941 Schweimer became legation councillor in Ribbentrop's ministry. 1942 he went to the front as an SS-officer. In the beginning of the fifties Schweimer settled as an inland ship owner in Hamburg-Flottbek. On 29th November, 1966 the NPD - district-chairman from the street Hochrad 7 in Flottbek was main speaker at the first NPD-declaration in Hamburg after the Bavarian election. Together with the NPD-member of the federal directorate and ex-county-speaker Meier-Dom, who has just entered into the Bavarian diet; Schweimer looks forward to the election of the diet in Schleswig-Holstein in spring.
