Handover of first Trident 2E for China, Hatfield, UK

Nov. 11, 1972 - Handover Of First Trident 2E For China. At a ceremony at Hawker Siddeley Aviation, Hatfield, today, the first of 12 Trident 2E aircraft ordered for the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), were handed over to the Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Sung Chih-kuang, by Sir Arnold Hall, Chairman of the Hawker Siddeley Group. The order is valued at approximately 43 million, with spares.
