Hanna Schygulla, actress, and Fassbinder, film director

Dec. 26 Film Director Rainer Werner Fassbinder is shooting the film Lili Marleen in Munich, West Germany: Lili Marleen was the title of the very famous song, which became a hit during the second world war, when it was sung by all soldiers at the front-line- and not only by Germans: Lili Marleen is also the title of a new film, which is being shot in Munich by one of the most successful German film directors, Rainer Werner Fassbinder. German Actress Hanna Schygulla, discovered by Fassbinder and playing the lead in nearly all of his films (recently in Die Ehe der Maria Braun'/The marriage of Maria Braun, especially successful in the United States) is the star in Lili Marleen, too. In about three months the filming should be finished and in January 1981 the premiere of the film should take place.
