1968 - Stioller - Smallest Horse to win a world championship: The story of the making of this 14.2 hands show jumper goes back five years when Marion Coakes, then 13-years old, saw Stroller for the first time and persuaded her father Mr. Ralph Coakes, who farms at New Milton, Hampshire, to buy this promising hrose for 1000 from a local butcher. Mr. Coakes, scoptical at first because he did not think Stroller, because of his smallness, would make a champion. Marion who began her riding career at the age of 3, began to work hard to create that perfect partnership between herself and Stroller, which is essential to any championship team. Her fathers faith and Marions determination team.
