Aug. 08, 1955 - Derby Cup Stolen. The solid gold 1ft. high Derby Cup, won by Nimbus in 1949 for Mrs. Marian Glenister, was stolen. Thieves smashed their way through the burglar-proof French windows of Mrs. Glenister's Lounge at her home in Welwyn Garden City, Herts. nimbus won the Derby in 1949.
