1957 - Horse Runs Amok at australian Racecourse: Gold Stakes reared and threw its Jockey when lining up for the start of the Wentworth Handicap, at the Ranwick Rececourse, Australia, and bolted round the Course. During its gallop the horse slipped and sorambled under the rail, and racegoers soattered in all directions. Amazingly nobody was hurt, and Gold Stakes was eventually caught apparently none the worse for its escaped.
