Jul. 07, 1958 - Rehearsing for the Searchlight Tattoo.: At this year's White City Searchlight Tattoo, horsemen will he competing against motor-cyclists in a spectacular tentpeging contest. The horsemen will be drawn form the Mounted Section of the Royal Military Police at Aldershot and the motor-cyclists form the mechanised section of the same unit. In the case of the horsemen, the pegs will be speared by individual riders and, in the case of the motor-cyclists, each reider will carry a pillion passenger to wield the lance.
