Pat Smythe almost comes a cropper for second time Britain top horsewoman Pat Smythe was taken to hospital today after being thrown while competing in the London Trial Stakes in the International Horse Show at White City. She returned to carry on with the competition later and almost came a cropper on Grand Manan in the Distaff Stakes.
