Mar. 21, 1959 - Oxo wins the Grand national. Only four finish.; The world's most famous Steeplechase the Grand National was won at Aintree, Liverpool today by Oxo, ridden by M. Scudamore, with Wyndburgh (T. Brookshaw), second, and Mr. What (T. Taaffe), third. Only four of the thirty-four runners finished the course. Photo shows Oxo, ridden by M. Scudamore, taking the last fence during the race today. Oxo stumbled, but went on to win by 1 1/2 lenghts
