Feb. 25 Curlyy Haired Martin Wins Riding Trophies at the age of Two.: JP/9712. It's not very long ago that 2-year-old Martin Brierley learned to walk, and a already he has won a couple of rosettes for his performances in gymkhanas near his home at Salisbury Road, Worthing, Sussex. Cuarly haired Martin has been riding since he was 18 months old and is the youngest member of the Crawley and Horsham Branch of the Pony Club. Martin got his enthusiasm for horses from his brother, John, aged ll who has won many riding awards and wants to be a jockey. Both boys take their ridingspons together at Findon, Sussex and Martin can saddle his pony Dot and groom her after their ride. He knows all the dodges about getting the best out of her too, and always has his pockets filled with carrots and lumps of sugar
