Mar. 02 The Meersfelder Horse Show: A hard of wild ponies is being rounded up before hundreds of on lookers and dealers.With them are many young foals. They have just been driven in from the vast reservation forest. Rounding up wild ponies in west Germany: An annual horsefair at meersfelder bruch evidences German efforts to recover her position as a horse breeding and onning nation. Every year in Summertime, horsedealers from all oveer Germany come to Meersfelder Bruch near Dolmen, for the horse fair from the vast reservation and forest some 150 wild ponies and their foals are rounded up and driven straight into arena and viewed by the cream of Germany's horse dealers. Before this, the highlight of the day, lakes place, carriages and traps, displays and competition of jumping and haut ecole and dressage. As tens of thousands of horses were lost serving in the Army during the war, stocks of horses in Germany are very low, and efforts are now being made to remedy thin. Stallions are being brought into the Reservation at Meersfelder Bruch from England and Russia in attempts to introduce fresh blood
