Feb. 02, 1966 - 70-YEAR-OLD WOMAN RACEHORSE TRAINER WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS. FLORENCE NAGIE was busy today training racehorses, as she has done for the past 28 years. But first she posted her fifth application for a trainer's licence to the Jockey club. She knows they will refuse it, just as they refused the others-BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN. But this time she does not mind. For on Wednesday three appeal court judges told her she could go ahead with her legal action against the Jockey club Stewards. MRS NAGIE, a 70-year-old great-grandmother, inspected the 18 horses at her Petworth, Sussex, stable and said At last I am getting somewhere'. PHOTO SHOWS: MRS. NAGIE with one of her racehorses at her Westerland Stud Farm home, near Petworth, sussex
