Oct. 10, 1966 - Newmarket Town Plate: The Newmarket town Plate - the only race for women under Jockey Club rules, took place today. The race was won by Nikko, ridden by Mrs. D. Law. Second was Queens Tree %, ridden by Marlyn Calvert, aged 12 - the youngest - ever competitor. Photo shows Mrs. D.
