Oct. 13, 1966 - 13-10-66 Newmarket Town Plate The Newmarket Town Plate, the only race for women under Jockey Club rules, took place today. The race was won by Ms. D. Law riding Nikko. Second was 12-year old Marilyn Calvert, the youngest ever competitor, riding Queens Tree. Keystone Photo Shows: Miss Gilda Griffiths, who was unseated from her mount Toy Soldier, at the finishing post, is seen being assisted off the course at Newmarket today
