Aug. 08, 1972 - Well To Do - A Gift Horse - Wins The Grand National At Aintree: Well To Do, ridden by champion jockey Graham Thorner, won the 1972 Grand National at Aintree, Liverpool, today. The winner was a gift to 34-years-old owner-trainer, Captan Tim Forster by Mrs. Heather Sumner, the owner, who died last year. Photo Shows; Lisnaree ridden by Mr. F. Turner, falls at Bechers on the first circuit almost in the path of Even Delight, ridden by R. Dennard (No. 41)
