Oct. 10, 1976 - Horse Of The Year Show At Wembley - Harvey Smith Rides To Victory After Swing Kicked In the Head By His Horse: During an early event at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley yesterday, Harvey Smith was kicked in the head when his horse threw him while jumping a wall in the Dick Turpin Stakes. The horse Graffitti crashed and Harvey Smith had to retire to have three stitches put in the wound. He won the following event, m the Butlin, Have-a-Gamble Championship, on the same horse airing a cap in place of the usual riding hat because the injury had swollen.
