Mar. 03, 1978 - 60 years old becomes on March 3rd, 1978 one of the most successful post war sportsman in the Federal Republic of Germany: Fritz Thiedemann. The jumping-rider, who lives now in Heide in Holstein, got in 1952 at the Olympic Games in Helsinki got in 1952 at the Olympic Games in Helsinki with his horse Meteor the bronze medal in the event, 1956 in Stockholm and 1960 in Rome he won with his team the gold medal. In 1961 he led the German equipe to the win at the Prince of Nations in Aachen (Frg). He also established a world-record in high- and long jumping (1951). Fritz Thiedemann is holder of the Golden Rider-Decoration with brillants and got the silver bay-leaf from the President of the Federal Republic.
