Oct. 10, 1969 - The Spanish riding school of Vienna give display at the Empire pool-Wembley: The Spanish Riding School of Vienna will be giving a complete performance of the Classical Art of Riding as practised at the Imperial Court of Vienna for 400 years, at the Empire Pool, Wembley, next week. Today the Lipizzaner Stallions of the famous school were rehearsing at Wembley for next week's display: Photo shows one of the famous Lipizzaner horses is seen doing the Levade Squatting deep on its hindquarters, the horse lifts his fore feet off the ground and maintains this position for a length of time.
