Harold Wilson on visit to Rhodesia

Oct. 10, 1965 - The British Prime Minister, Mr. H. Wilson arrived at Salisbury Airport on Monday Evening, 25th October 1965, in an R.A.F. Comet with a staff of 50 and five Aidas, including the Commonwealth Relations Secretary, Mr. Arthur Bottomley and Sir Saville Garner, Permanent Under Secretary at the Commonwealth Relations Office. With Mr. Wilson is Sir Burke Trend, Secretary of the Cabinet Mr. D. Mitchell, the Prime Minister's Principal Private Secretary, Mr. O. Wright, his Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Mr. T. Lloyd - Hughes his Press Secretary. Photo shows The British Prime Minister Mr. Harold Wilson greeting Dr. Elasha Mutasa, after having met Mr. Leopold Takawira (centre) before commencing their talks on the Independence Issue. On the left of picture is Mr. Arthur Bottomley. On the right is Mr. Edson Svobgo and Mr. enes Nkala. All members of the banned Z.A.F.U
