Sep. 09, 1957 - Cockpit canopy flies off Hawker Hunter at takeoff during Farnborough Air Display. Tail unit damaged. The cockpit canopy was whipped off by the wind from the Hawker Hunter Aircraft piloted by Bill Bedford when about to take off for a demonstration at the Farnborough Air Display this afternoon.
