Dec. 09 German writer Heinz Piontek gets the Buchner Prize of the town Darmstadt - This year, German writer Heinz Piontek will get the Buchner Prize of the town Darmstadt'. his most Important literature-award is made to the 51 year old author on October 22nd 1976. Heinz Piontek wrote a lot of lyric poetry ('Die purt, Die Rauchfahne, Mit einer Kranichfeder'), prose ('Tor Augen, gastanien aus dem Feuer'), books of travel, novels ('Die mittleren jahre') and also radio dramas etc. He is a member of the German Academy of Arts as well as the pen club. His prose and poems have been translated into 12 languages
