1968 - Couple Wed On Tokyo Tower. (Wedding). An American couple literally got their wedding off the ground, when they became the first couple to be married on the 820-foot high observation platform of the Tokyo Tower. George Drucker, 39-year-old businessman and Victoria Crawford 34, were united in the traditional Japanese Shinto ceremony complete with kimonos. Drucker is president of the London International Wax Museum in Tokyo, which opens a permanent exhibition of life-size figures shortly in Tokyo Tower.
