Oct. 10, 1953 - Duke Of Gloucester At Vintage Festival Banquet: The Duke Of Gloucester, the Master of the Vinter's Company, was the chief guest of honour at last night's Vintage Festival Banquet at the Vinter's Hall City. Organised by wine and Spirit Association, the five-course banquets the first of its kind to held in Britain. The Duke Of Gloucester presented parchment scrolls to six members of the trade who qualified as Masters Of Wine in an examination organised by the associations. One of the them was the Lord Chancellor's 33-year old nephew, Mr.Kenneth Simonds, who is with a West End wine firm.
