Feb. 12, 1954 - 12-2-54 Police investigate double murder at Ealing. The murdered woman after her 1930 wedding C.I.D. personnel are investigating the double murder at the Home for Elderly Gentlefolk in Montpelier Road, Ealing, of a lady who is generally known as Lady Menzies and her daughter Mrs. Isobel Veronica Chesney. Their bodies were found in different parts of the house. Lady Menzies as found in front of a fire in the downstairs sitting room and Mrs. Chesney was found half-clad in the bathroom of the top floor. Mrs. Menzies has used in the title Lady Menzie since she was married in 1930 to Thomas Chalmers Menzies, who styled himself as the tenth baronet but it was announced soon after the wedding that he was not entered in the official Roll of the Baronstage.
