Nov. 11, 1957 - London's Liveliest Social Set Hold Victorian Age Party to Launch a New Book. Nearly 200 people jammed themselves into Lady Diana Avebury's flat in Holland Park last night when they attended a Victorian Age party that set out to be intellectual but ended in the early hours as a Rock n Roll shindig. the party was given to launch a new book by Mr. Michael Alexander, kinsman of Earl Alexander of Tunis - on the exploits of Colonel Fred Burnaby, killed as he attempted to relieve General Gordon at Khartum. Photo Shows: Seen at the party are Mrs. Geoffrey Imeson and Miss Joan Roden wearing the tights of the dancing girls from the Wild West
