May 05, 1956 - Nanny Kept Aboard A Liner At Tilbury: Gerda Schumacher, a 23-year-old governess sat alone last night in the linear Strathaird docked at Tilbury. She was refused permission to lend. The authorities said her visa expired four days ago and she had not enough money to support herself. She was last in England in 1952 and eight months ago she went to Bombay as governess to the three children of an executive of the Imperial Tobacco Company. Illness and other causes made her come back. Now she says: I don't know what will happen to me. Photo Shows: Gerda Schumacher who was kept aboard the liner Strathaird at Tilbury last night
