Jan. 01, 1959 - IT FUN TO BE YOUNG. Pedalling his cycle into Sloane Square yesterday wearing pale blue pyjamas came Lord Valentine Thynne, third son of the Marquis of Bath. Close behind him was Greville Howard, 17-year old cousin of the Earl of Suffolk, in gold pyjamas made from curtain material and a crash helmet bearing the skull and crossbones. Four other cyclist in the variety of nightshirts and pyjamas, followed. At the end of the procession came a white convertible Rolls Royce loaded with cheering debs. There was 18-year old Gloria Kindersly, whose name has been linked recently with Lord Milford Haven, Katie Drew-Wilkinson, in a pink dressing gown, Deidre Hamilton-Hill and Serena Gillilan. After cycling to the Grenadier public house for drinks, they started a part at Miss Kindersley house in Radnor-walk, Chelsea. Mr. Howard said: We Intended to make this bicycle ride from Kings-road to The Grenadier an annual event, and if it catches on, we'll possibly do it for charity.
