Mar. 20, 1959 - Young Chelsea Socialites Holds Bottle Party On Underground Train. Led by 24 year old Maureen Lwle-Purdy 200 members of Chelsea's Start set - held a Bottle party on the 8-3 p.m. Inner Circle train from Sloane Square. Each guest carried a bottle - a glass and an all-the-way ticket for the journey. Normal passengers protested strongly - and at South Kensington some of the revellers danced on the platform.
