May 05, 1961 - The great wedding of Sigmaringen: On May 30th, the wedding took place in the St. Johannes Church of Sigmaringen, Swabia, of Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern and Princess Birgitta. This was a great event for the little Swabian town, the seat of the family of the bridegroom. Famous representatives of the European aristocraty were present. The register marriage had taken place in Stockholm on May 25th.
