Mar. 03, 1967 - Getting to the Church - by Sedan: A bride in a four-manned Sedan chair versus a 210-horses power car, set off for St. Ann's Church in Wardour Street, from Young's Dress Hire, 178, Wardour Street, W.1. this morning - to prove that in congested towns, man power beats motor power at getting the bride to Church on time. Especially at Easter, Bridal hire specialist Louis Young thinks the return of the sedan chair could be a pretty and practical idea for brides. With the rise in the number of weddings and increasing traffic jams, he says, it is becoming more and more difficult to get to the Church on time. Legs are faster than engines in these conditions. Riding in the sedan chair, was model girl Sue Gunn who will be a real live bride herself shortly, and the bride in the 210-horse power Jaguar was Gillian Holmes from Mr. Young's showroom. Photo shows Sue Gunn on her way to St. Ann's Church in the Sedan Chair today. She won by a short head - or foot
