Nov. 11, 1971 - The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg on an official visit to the Olympic building site in Munich.: Following a personal invitation by Herr Willi Baume, President of the Olympic Committee, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg arrived in the Bavarian capital to take a look at the progress on the construction site. The Grand Duke has himself been a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1946. Even the aristocratic status of the visitors did not excempt then from wearing the compulsory safety helmet.
