Sep. 09, 1973 - Prussian princess Kira marries American archaeologist in Bavaria: On Sept. 11, 1973 the christian wedding of Princess Kira of Hohenzollern (30) to American Thomas Liepsner (28) took place in the small village Felizenzell near Buchbach/Muhldorf. The charming princess was the last single daughter of prince Louis Ferdinand, head of the house of Hohenzollern. She is a great grandchild of German emperor Wilhelm II. Her prince consort is the son of an American manufacturer from Kansas City. It was not love at first sight, confessed the happy bride. for we have met 5 years ago in Madrid, while attending a wedding there Things evidently changed and the now newly weds met again at the University of Erlangen, where the princess studied Spanish and Russian, the groom archaeology.
