Oct. 14, 1974 - Death of Tina Niarchos: Mrs. Tina Niarchos, 47, the sixth wife of Mr. Stavros Niarchos, the Greek shipowner, was found dead in the bedroom of her Paris home on Thursday. Mr. Stavros Niarchos's first recorded marriage was to Melpomeni Kapari in 1936; divorced 1947. His next wife was Eugenie Livanos, but that marriage ended in a Mexican divorce and he wed Charlotte Ford, elder daughter of Henry Ford, in 1965. The marriage was never recognised by the Greek Church, and when the break up with Charlotte occurred enter obly two years, Niarchos resumed his marriage to Eugenie. Head death occured on the Niarchos island of Spetsapoula, in 1970.
